The Maker Behind Echora
Made by hand. Meant for every day.
Echora is one person, one wheel, one studio in Durango, Colorado. Every piece starts as a lump of clay and ends on someone's table being used every morning.

Echora was built on a love for the handmade.
I've been an artist for as long as I can remember — my first ceramics class was in high school and I fell in love with it right away. I kept going through college classes and community studios, finding time at the wheel whenever I could.
In 2020 I lost access to my pottery studio and leaned hard into my digital work instead. That's when Lauren Echo Art was born. I've spent the last five years as a freelance artist and illustrator, helping brands build out their visual identity with custom artwork, and I genuinely love what I do.
But somewhere along the way I started missing the feeling of making something from dirt. Screens are great, but there's no substitute for getting your hands in clay.
In December 2025 I cleared out my garage in Durango and built a pottery studio. I threw myself back into ceramics and honestly, I forgot how much I needed it.
Echora is the result. Every piece is hand-thrown in that garage studio, glazed and fired slow, and made to live in your home rather than sit on a shelf. The goal has always been simple: to bring one-of-a-kind, human-made objects into your everyday life.
I'm so glad you're here. Thank you for the support.
